Membership

Welcome!  We thank you for your interest in becoming a member of TCHSG.

Our mission is to encourage, inform, and support local Christian home-based instruction families (as defined in RCW 28A.225) in their homeschooling journey. We invite Christian homeschooling parents (or those considering homeschooling) within a two-hour drive of the Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland area to join us.

Key Policies:

1.   We do not advocate “for or against” public school Alternative Learning Experience (ALE) programs on the email list. More detail is provided in the Code of Conduct. The coordinating team reserves the right to stop a conversation if it moves into advocacy.

2.   If you advertise an event where the sponsor/most attendees are of a significantly different faith tradition, please disclose that information when you advertise. If you do not, the coordinating team reserves the right to notify the list publicly.

3.   The coordinating team reserves the right to remove list members if they do not respect TCHSG’s policies.  In most cases, a warning will be given first.  More detail is provided in the Code of Conduct.

To be approved for the list, please send an email to homeschooltalk@yahoo.com and answer the following questions:

1.     Where are you located? (example - Pasco, WA)

2.     Are you a homeschooling parent or looking into homeschooling? Please explain.

3.     Why do you want to join TCHSG?

4.     Have you read the Statement of Faith?  Do you agree with it?  If not, could you explain (briefly) how you differ? Do you understand that these statements will be the theological “givens” for any TCHSG discussion/activity?

5.     What church do you attend?

6.     Have you read the code of conduct?  Are you willing to abide by it?

7.     What username would you like to register as?
